Asthma
We are currently recruiting for two asthma studies
STUDY 1
Location: Wellington
We need the following people for this study:
Men or women ♦ aged 18-65 ♦ non-smoker ♦ had asthma for at least 3 months ♦ not currently taking steroid medication for asthma
This 6 week study is looking at the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medicine for asthma compared to a marketed medicine. There will be 7 clinic visits and each visit will take about 3 hours. You will need to record your lung function at home and keep a study diary.
STUDY 2
Location: Wellington
We need the following people for this study:
Men or women ♦ aged 18-65 ♦ asthma ♦ non-smoker ♦ had asthma for more than 6 months ♦ taking only short acting beta-agonist (e.g. salbutamol)
This study is looking at the effectiveness of three new medicines at preventing asthma. The study involves 4 separate treatment periods, during which participants will take study medicine once daily for 21 days. There is a rest period of about 1 month between each treatment period, so the total duration of the study is 6-9 months. You will be asked to come to the clinic about 12 times during the study for assessments; 1 of these visits will take about 13 hours and 4 of the visits will require an overnight stay at the clinic.
