This is a 2 year study comparing an investigational new drug with warfarin to see how safe and effective the new drug is at preventing stroke. There will be 16 visits to the clinic in the first year and 14 visits during the second year. The first 2 visits will take 1-2 hours and the other visits will last about 1/2 hour.
